Star Holden
Star Holden applies his background in engineering and science to a research-led creative process in the production of artistic artefacts. He uses numerous fabrication processes to create work that promotes curiosity towards our profoundly interesting world, and places intrigue as a permanent fixture in our minds. His sculptures activate materials with light, motion and liquids, informed by an approach towards electronics and data that qualify them as artistic materials in their own right.
Alongside his artistic practice Star established and runs Art Research Technology, a research and development studio that facilitates complex artworks and installations worldwide. Through A.R.T. Star develops and builds the technology behind the large scale installations of Studio SWINE.
